The Eiffel Tower perspective from the Champ de Mars is astonishing no matter the season, but even more in autumn. Leaves dropped on the lawns still green, trees becoming true immobile torches, rustling in the wind… The Eiffel Tower becomes the main character of a romantic picture that people come to admire on a romantic getaway, and is the subject of your most beautiful autumnal pictures.

– Trocadéro Station (line 6 and 9): enjoy a dominant view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars (15 min on foot)
– Bir-Hakeim Station (line 6): follow the quai Branly and the banks of the Seine to join the Eiffel Tower (10 min on foot)

Connecting the Seine with the basin of La Villette, the Saint Martin canal is lined with trees for most of its route. They celebrate autumn with an explosion of colors. You can stroll along the banks for a walk of about 4 kilometers. Our favorite spots are the Square Frédérick-Lemaître and the Amelie’s bridge, as well as the Square of the Récollets and the Passerelle Bichat: the vegetation creates a striking autumnal picture. If the cold gets too bitter, take a break in one of the many cafes along the canal to enjoy a hot chocolate.

The specific romantic atmosphere of autumn lends perfectly with Père Lachaise cemetery. Have you ever been in a place devoted to contemplation, which has now become a touristic destination as well as a pilgrimage place? When the shaded alleys are draped in red and amaranth shades, when the fallow-coloured leaves are deposited on the headstones, the cemetery is surrounded by a peculiar aura. A place to visit during autumn in Paris, with respect for those who rest in there, unknown persons or celebrities.

The biggest Parisian green space, with an area of about 1000 hectares, is a real green lung at the gates of the capital. Wooded on more than 500 hectares, it hosts many deciduous trees, taking splendid russet, ochre and yellow tons in autumn. You could also walk on the side of the Daumesnil lake and Reuilly island on a sunny day: the reflections that moan the waters of the lake are beautiful!
The most athletics among you can also conquer Daumesnil’s sports course, along 2.1 kilometers where you will find successive devices and sports equipment. Enjoy the autumnal, vivid freshness and the beautiful foliage.

You will enjoy visiting the most famous of them such as the Luxembourg Garden, the Tuileries Garden, Square Louise Michel, Belleville park or the famous Buttes-Chaumont. Each one has its own identity and approaches autumn in Paris with a special originality. Explore the different public gardens in search for the most photogenic points of view, which exude a poetic, romantic or simply aesthetic atmosphere.
