Paris in the 18th century

Louis XIV of France by Antoine Coysevox, the statue once in the courtyard of the Hôtel Le Pelletier de Saint-Fargeau now stands at the entrance of the Musée Carnavalet in Paris. The Musée Carnavalet is one of the few monuments of the 18th century where the esplendor of the the Parisian bourgeoisie of the period can be appreciated.
